The Tinsoldier GT – Tournament Tickets

Northumbrian Tin Soldier, in association with the West Allotment Wildlings are excited to announce a one day Warhammer 40k Tournament!

This will be held at West Allotment Social Club over 1 day on Sunday 06/11/2022, where everyone will battle it out over 3 or 4 games to be crowned as our Inaugural Champion. Everyone who attends will play a minimum of 3 games where a final cut will be made before the final game between the two top players.

 

Prior to the final game, winners will be declared for the Best Painted Army and Best Sportsman which will be judged throughout the day.

 

Once the ceremony is over the final will take place with the overall Champion crowned!!!

Food and drink will not be provided, it is up to each person to provide it for themselves. Drinks can be purchased from the venue (adults only). There will be places locally where items of food and drink can be purchased.

What is it?

A Warhammer 40k tournament consisting of 3-4 games. All attendees will play 3 rounds before a top cut is made and the final(s) are played. Attendees will bring a 1000 point Matched Play Army, as described in the Warhammer 40k Rule Book and using the current rules set out in Chapter Approved: Warzone Nephilim.

 

Each round will be played using Chapter Approved: Warzone Nephilim Incursion Mission Pack.

 

What You Need to Bring

• Your 1000 Batteforged army
• Dice, tape measure and 6 objective markers
• The core rules for Warhammer 40k
• Any relevant indices, codices, supplements and FAQs for your army
• The attatched gaming pack
• Copies of your army list to provide for you and your opponents

 

Things that are not essential but a nice to have

• Chess Clock
• Chapter Approved: Warzone Nephilim

 

Please note, none of the above will be provided on the day by the Tournament Officials.

The event will run to the following times, to ensure a prompt, fun and efficient day please arrive in advance of registration to ensure the first round starts on time

Army Selection

Your army should be Batteforged in accordance with the rules set out in the Warhammer 40k Rule book, i.e. Cost no more than 1000 points and include no more than 2 detachments. This also has to be in line with the current Chapter Approved: Warzone Nephilim rules.

 

Terrain and Missions

Terrain will be provided and will be placed on the table for you and your opponent to arrange in line with the pre-determined mission. The missions for each round will be provided by download.

 

If you require assistance at this point please notify a Tournament Official.

 

Pairings

Round 1	Random – you will be told your table number at registration
Round 2	You will be paired on: Wins > Random
Round 3	You will be paired on: Wins > Random
Round 4	The top 2 players will be paired on Wins > Total Victory Points (VP)

 

If there is an odd number of players they will be granted a win and 100VPs, if a player is more than 10 minutes late their opponent will be granted a win and 100VPs. Please report any late opponents to the Tournament Officials.

 

If you need to leave the tournament please make a Tournament Official aware of this.

 

Ranking

Players will be ranked on Wins > Total VPs

 

Best Painted Army

In order take part in the best painted army award you will need to nominate yourself. You will need to set your army up at the designated point, decided on the day, during the lunch break. All players are encouraged to review and admire these armies. A team of judges will review each army and make a decision on the overall winner.

 

As brief guidance to enter this award please consider the following:

• Is your army painted and based beyond Battle Ready Standard
• Does your army have extra detail applied to it
• Do the models in your army have an overall theme
• Were the models in your army painted by you (commission work will not be considered)

 

Most Sporting

At the end of each round you will be given a brief form to complete about the previous round, at this point you will be able to nominate an Opponent for Most Sporting.

Prizes

The Tournament Champion will receive an engraved glass trophy, there will also be prizes for the winners of each of the individual awards!

 

Tickets for this event are digital and will be delivered immediately via a download link, The tickets are not refundable but are transferable up until the final call date for army lists at which point we may not be able to facilitate the transfer of your ticket.
